• WVU Masters of Laboratory Sciences (MLS) Open House (Friday, October 23rd 2026, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT)

  When: Friday, October 23rd 2026, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT Location: Virtual Students interested in learning more about the WVU ºÚÉçÇø of Medicine’s Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Master’s degree and the MLS profession are invited to attend a virtual open house via Zoom.  The Zoom link will be sent via email after registration. In this session, potential applicants will learn about the MLS degree, career prospects, admission requirements, curriculum, tuition and more.  This master’s degree is intended for those with science degrees who want to work in a clinical laboratory setting and is not intended for those who are already certified as an MLS. Sessions are intended for ºÚÉçÇø seniors and graduates who have majored in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Immunology or another related science degree and would be applying for the January 2028 cohort.  Students who are not ready to apply but are exploring their post-graduate options are also welcome to attend the session and learn more about the program and the MLS career. About WVU’s Medical Laboratory Science (MLS) Master’s Degree The Master of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science provides the opportunity for students with degrees in the sciences to enter the laboratory profession and prepares them to become board-certified and work in a clinical laboratory immediately upon graduation. The 18-month program is based at the WVU Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center in Morgantown, West Virginia.
